What Is Included in Bus Hire?
A Fox Bus quote is built around the vehicle and journey. Here is what is standard, what depends on your trip, and what is optional - so the quoted amount holds no surprises.
Standard, Journey-Dependent and Optional
Standard inclusions
- The vehicle in the agreed category, maintained and presented for your journey
- A professional, licensed and accredited driver, whose hours are managed under fatigue rules (the driver is not counted in the seat band)
- The operator's vehicle insurances and required accreditations for the service
- Standard running costs of operating the vehicle for the agreed journey, such as fuel for the planned route
- The planned route and stops as set out in your confirmed itinerary
Journey-dependent costs
- Tolls - Handled as set out in your written quote; confirm with the team how tolls for your specific route are treated.
- Parking and venue access fees - Where a venue or site charges for coach parking or access, this is confirmed in your written quote rather than assumed here.
- Airport pick-up or holding fees - Any airport access or holding charges are set out in your written quote; confirm with the team for airport transfers.
- Waiting time between legs - How extended waiting is treated is confirmed in your written quote, since it engages the vehicle and driver.
- Driver accommodation and meals on multi-day trips - For overnight and multi-day charters, any driver accommodation arrangements are set out in your written quote.
Optional / on request
- Additional stops or detours added to the itinerary
- Extended hours or standby time beyond the agreed window

- Accessibility features or a specific vehicle specification on request
- Additional vehicles for larger groups or split timings

What Could Change the Quoted Price?
- A change in passenger numbers that moves you into a different vehicle category or requires an extra vehicle
- Adding, removing or relocating stops, or extending the route beyond the itinerary quoted
- Changing the date, day of week or timing, especially into peak periods, weekends, public holidays or overnight windows
- Keeping the vehicle engaged for longer than the agreed window, including extra waiting or a later finish
- New route costs that emerge, such as tolls, venue parking or restricted access, which are confirmed in your written quote
- Added requirements such as a luggage trailer, accessibility features or a specific vehicle standard
- Switching between a one-way trip and a return, or asking the vehicle to stay with the group rather than be released
